Hi, I'm JC. I'm the southpaw creator behind Ginger's Crochet. I served in the military and, along the way, my favorite hobby quietly became my calling. Today, this studio is where I channel that same discipline into every hand crocheted piece.
My roots trace back to the Caribbean, and you'll see it everywhere in my work. The bold sunlit yellows, ocean blues, warm earthy browns and playful bursts of color are a love letter to home, translated into premium yarn and a left-handed hook.

Ask JCIt depends on the piece. A pair of crochet earrings or a baby beanie can come together in an afternoon or two. A ruffled statement hat is usually a few days of focused work. A queen size ribbed blanket like the Deep Ocean can take three to four weeks of daily stitching because every row is done by hand. Custom commissions include a clear timeline before any work begins.
Left-handed crochet mirrors right-handed work, which gives the stitches a distinctive lean and a slightly different tension. Combined with military grade attention to detail, that means very even rows, clean edges and a finished piece with a rhythm you can actually feel in your hands. It is part of what makes every Ginger's Crochet item a genuine one of a kind.
Hand wash cold in a clean sink with a small amount of gentle wool or delicate detergent. Do not wring or twist. Press the water out gently, roll the blanket in a clean towel to remove excess moisture, then lay it flat to dry away from direct sunlight and heat. Avoid the dryer entirely. Treated with care, your handmade blanket will stay soft and beautifully shaped for many years.

Ready-to-ship items typically leave the studio within a few business days, packaged with care and sent with tracking. Made to order pieces ship as soon as they are finished. You will always receive an estimated production and shipping timeline before your order is confirmed.
Secure card payments through the on-site checkout, with additional options presented during the checkout flow. For larger custom commissions, JC may arrange a deposit and balance schedule that will be confirmed in writing before any work begins.
